About Us

The World Council of Hindus UK is a charitable organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and supporting Hindu culture, values, and community life in the United Kingdom. We serve as a unifying platform for Hindus of all backgrounds—connecting temples, individuals, and local chapters to nurture the spiritual and cultural identity of the Hindu diaspora.

To serve, unite, and uplift the Hindu community in the United Kingdom by promoting the timeless values of Sanatan Dharma.

We aim to empower individuals and chapters through cultural education, spiritual development, temple support, community service, and charitable outreach. We believe that every Hindu arriving in the UK should feel welcomed, connected, and spiritually nurtured.

To build a united, spiritually enriched, and culturally vibrant Hindu community across the UK.

Our vision is to preserve and promote Hindu Dharma by connecting people through temples, festivals, youth engagement, seva (service), and interfaith harmony. We envision a society where Hindus, regardless of origin or background, feel a strong sense of belonging and contribute positively to British society while rooted in their heritage.

  • Dharma (Righteousness): We uphold and promote the spiritual, ethical, and cultural values of Hinduism through actions rooted in truth, compassion, and service.
  • Seva (Selfless Service): We are committed to community service—whether distributing buttermilk, organizing temple events, or supporting volunteers in need.
  • Samskar (Cultural Preservation): Through bhajans, satsangs, and festivals, we pass on the rich traditions of Hindu Dharma to the next generation.
  • Sanghatan (Unity): We bring together temples, organizations, and individuals under a single umbrella of cooperation and shared purpose.
  • Shraddha (Faith & Devotion): We nurture devotion through daily worship, celebrations, and spiritual learning, connecting individuals with their inner self and the divine.
  • Inclusivity & Respect: We welcome all members of the Hindu community and promote respect for all faiths, fostering peace and harmony across communities.
